Romeldale CVM Sheep

My journey with Romelale CVM Sheep started in 2017. Spring of 2017 I decided it was time to bring in a new Romney ram. I had used the same ram for several years and needed new blood. I went to the romney registry and looked up some of the closest breeders and at that time a farm known as Peeper Hollow popped up. I contacted the Shepherdess there and asked her what she had or would have available for rams. She made me a list and at the time I also was looking at her other breed the Romeldale CVM. They were gorgeous and reminded me of Romneys so I asked her about them. After many emails back and forth, I came home that fall with my first 4 Romeldale CVM ewes and an AMAZING ram. My flock has since grown!

All of my Romeldales are registered through the National Romeldale CVM Concervancy

I am currently serving as Vice President of the NRCC as of Jan 2020 and would love to see more people become involved with this lovely breed

The Romeldale CVM is a multipurpose breed that is best known for its fleece's next to skin softness. They come in a wide array of colors and have amazing personalities. They are a medium sized breed that are very easy to handle. They are also an endangered breed on The Livestock Conservancy's list of endangered breeds.

Why should you raise Romeldale CVM's

  • They are an endangered breed of sheep that needs to be preserved

  • They come in a wide array of colors excellent for handspinning purposes
